Hi Michelle, I have spend a great deal of time browsing thru your website, reading your poems and articles and I just recently finished your book. Being someone who can stronglly identify with the topic, I must say all the effort you have put into getting this information out there is unbelievable. It seems you have really risen from below and created a life of hope for yourself. I found the book to be sad at times, funny at times, but most of all a true account of someone’s devastating struggle against an inscidious illness that affects so many of us, whether it be mild or severe. I thank you for putting yourself out there and I know anyone who reads this book will come out with a new sense of courage and determination. Best of luck to you now and in your bright future.

Michelle,
I was fortunate to have a chance to look through your website at length during my daughter’s nap today. All I can say is WOW! You are a fantastic writer with a talent for conveying pure, raw emotion. Some of your poems moved me to tears.
Congratulations on publishing your book! I too am working on a memoir. Mine is about my own struggles and journey through the world of PTSD after severe and repeated abuse by my single mother who has antisocial personality disorder. I am not sure whether it will ever be published, but perhaps some day…
Anyway, thank you for sharing. I am sure that I will return to your site to read more, and I have added your book to my list of books I plan to read.
Thank you again, you are a real hero, and your son is lucky to have you as his mother!
Best,
Theresa (Nicolette Romero on Helium)

JUST A REMINDER ABOUT THE BOOK:
When ordering “Over the Rainbow” online, you just need to put the author’s (my) name into the search box like so:
Michelle Longo-Bloom
w/ no spaces between the hyphen, the “o” & the “B” and my book will immediately pop up.
Thank you everyone for all of your support and hope to see so many of you at the book signing on the 24th!!!
May all your days be “Graced with the Colors of Life!”

From: John Gregory Myers,
AS I keep reading your poetry, I get more inspired to let my feelings flow on paper. In my opinion, since I have read most of your work, you are one of the most creative poets of this day and age.
Keep writing…and God Speed!

Live poetry, and you will celebrate life. Write poetry, and you will
celebrate your human ability to always love and cherish what you love.
You are damn good

Michelle, I happened upon your writings by chance, checking out information on hyperventilation, and I am left in a state of awe at your courage and determination in the face of unimaginable suffering. You deserve to have a happy and fulfilling life, and it is my hope and prayer that you do. The miracle you describe in the discovery of a medication that helped “turn the corner” drives home the expression that “where there’s life there’s hope”. God Bless. Caroline

This is in regards to your article on: Poetry:
“To my father”
I really enjoyed your poem: “To my Father.” It spoke volumes about your feelings but also about your determination to be brave and do what you set out to do. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you, Michelle, for your wonderful site. I just found it last
night, & I’ve already sent a link to one friend, and will be sending it
to others. You have some wonderful insights and I know your website is going to
make a real difference to a lot of people. I liken your writing to “beautiful jewels” that you’ve fought so hard to present to the world.
I admire your courage
and insight, as well as your energy and determination. You’re an
amazing, heroic person, and I’m truly, truly glad I found your site.
Also, dear Michelle, in the immortal words of Carole King, “You’ve got a friend”. In your case, I’m guessing that should be amended to “You’ve got a new friend” … one of many!
Best,
Sylvia

Hey Michelle! I don’t know the next time I will see you so I just wanted to let you know that I in my english class we had to pick an auto-biography to read and I chose yours. I have gotten to chapter 7 so far. I love it your book and its cool to tell my friends that I am related to the author. One of my favorite parts of the book is guessing who everyone is. Talk to you soon! Love the website by the way.
